Onlinetradesmen.com, Ireland's largest service to connect Irish property owners to qualified trade professionals, today announced that it has processed over 500,000 home improvement projects from Irish property owners since its launch in 2005. It estimates the combined worth of these jobs to be in excess of € 3Bn to Irish Tradesmen and Builders
The Onlinetradesmen.ie service has also experienced a significant increase in property owner activity over the last 12 months, with the number of home improvement projects submitted to it up by 19% from 2012 levels. The recent launch of the Irish governments home renovation tax incentive scheme in October has added to this in recent months with home improvement jobs increasing a further 20% since its announcement.
The Onlinetradesmen.com provides property owners with pricing estimates and availability for their construction / home improvement projects from its nationwide register of qualified trade professionals through its www.onlinetradesmen.ie web-site. Projects vary from small domestic repairs right up to extensions and significant new home builds.
’We are delighted to reach the 500,000th Job mark’ comments Ted Laverty, Managing Director of Onlinetradesmen.ie. “It represents a real benchmark for our business and some more good news for the construction sector. Collectively we have experienced difficult times since the end of the Celtic tiger but there are now strong indicators that we are entering a period of sustained growth within the sector as a whole.”
