We're talking to Brian McMahon a painter decorator from Dublin this month. Brian loves his job and helping customers create their dream home with his skills.

OLT: Hi Brian, tell us a bit about yourself and your company.
BmcM: Hi, I’m Brian and set up my own company Brian McMahon painting over 10 years ago.  I qualified as painter/decorator in 2002 so I’ve almost 20 years of experience in the trade. 

OLT: What kind of work do you carry out?
BMcM:  All painting and decorating of private domestic properties.  That includes exterior work such as dashing, garden walls, fencing, garden sheds and all interior including woodwork.  

OLT: What do you enjoy about your work Brian?
BMcM: I love my work and seeing a great end result for a customer. One of my favourite jobs was on a rundown house that needed plenty of TLC. I worked with the customer to select modern colours and the finish looked amazing. The transformation was incredible.  I was so happy with how it worked out and the customer was delighted. 

OLT: What do you think is key to customer satisfaction? 
BMcM: Without a doubt, it’s communication - keeping the customer up to date on progress and any potential issues. That’s by far the most important thing I’ve learnt over the years. 

OLT: Have you any advice for someone starting out in the trade? 
BMcM:  Do it!  Go for it and always believe in what you can do.

OLT: And finally, the last question - how would you say the Onlinetradesmen service has helped your business?
