I had hired Wesley from Ardcolm Contracting to carry out structural and internal & external plastering works on my property renovations. I paid the deposit as requested, but Wesley failed to show up at the agreed times for work to begin. When I asked for clarification on the invoice, I received an invoice that charged me more than the original for the same amount of work. I decided to cancel the work before it started and asked for a refund of my deposit. Despite the promise to return the remaining balance, only €1000 was returned, and the rest was pending for months. Eventually, I had to take legal action to get it resolved.
