Mick and his team were great. Really good communication with calls and texts. Arrived when he said he would. We ended doing 2 jobs with Mick. A new wall, French doors and he fixed a damp wall leak. Mick and his team were all friendly and helpful, a great service. Recommend.

Excellent job carried out by Mick and his team. Kept fully up to date. Was a dusty job requiring tile removal but place left as clean as possible. Would highly recommend. Very happy with the job.

Mick organised the prep and fitting of a new kitchen and general repairs to floors, walls and skirting around our newly purchased but run down house. Mick’s friendly, can-do, good value approach is great. His team are also friendly, professional and pleasingly flexible when faced with unexpected challenges thrown up by an older property like ours. He brought in an excellent kitchen fitter and if you need any other trades or random jobs that need doing he always knows someone who’ll be able to sort you out at a good price. We’re now about to have Bathroom fitted with Mick and his team too and have no doubt that we will be equally pleased with the results.

Mick was engaged for a new build extension and garage to the side. The build was very trustworthy and cost-effective, delivering us a modern, bright home by transforming the layout, installing garden fencing and installing a new heating system. We got more out of the renovation than we could have expected to at the outset, due to Mick’s reasonable approach to pricing for additional requests. Mick came up with practical solutions to a number of design issues as they arose. His payment structure of paying in incremental amounts over the course of the project suites due to see what you had paid for. This gave confidence that we were getting value for money throughout the project. From the outset we were very happy by Mick’s and his team’s good communication, overcoming of obstacles/delays (not due to his team), advicece and his particular attention to our requirements. From the very beginning Mick and his team have been a pleasure to deal with and I am very happy to recommend him and his team.

Mick undertook extensive renovations to a house in need of considerable work in 2020. Mick’s team were trustworthy and cost-effective throughout the project, delivering us a modern, bright home by transforming the layout, including installing a new kitchen and bathroom, knocking through walls, replacing a large flat roof and installing a complete rewire and plumbing system. We got more out of the renovation than we could have expected to at the outset, owing to Mick’s flexibility and good value for money. Mick came up with practical solutions to a number of design issues as they arose, including using particular joists for a large-span flat roof in consultation with a chartered engineer and he proposed some impressive solutions to bring light into a large open plan extension which worked very well. Mick's payment structure suited us – we paid in incremental amounts over the course of the project, paying for work after we saw the work done. This gave us confidence that we were getting value for money throughout the project. Throughout the project we were struck by Mick’s good communication, his transparency and his particular attention to the safety of our young child. I’m very happy to recommend him and his team.

We commissioned Mick to build a large work/living space in our back garden and a velux window in our extended kitchen. Despite his very competitive pricing, quality of workmanship and level of customer service was not compromised. Plumbing, plastering, electrical work, tiling, block laying and roofing were all arranged by Mick. The project has been completed to a very high standard. Mick provided excellent ideas prior to commencing work and also advised us on valuable design improvements as the work progressed. He also completed various "odd-jobs" that were not included in the original remit. Nothing was a problem for Mick and his excellent team. Mick runs his business in very professional manner and I would highly recommend him for any building project.

We had a great experience working with Mick. During his first visit, he made numerous suggestions for how we should rebuild our garage that we hadn't even thought of. We're much happier for having taken these suggestions, and it even saved us a bit of money. Mick always communicated to us what stage we were at, when we should expect people to arrive/finish up for the day, and when the individual tasks would be completed. He was also willing to take time out to explain things to us, which we appreciated, as we only recently purchased the house. It's been ~2 weeks, and we've had no issues with the work that Mick completed. After significant rainfall, our new roof has no leaks whatsoever. I'd have no hesitancy in recommending Mick to others, and we'll most likely use him again in the future.

I have never dealt with builders before so was a bit apprehensive in hiring someone for who I did not have a personal recommendation. However, I need not have worried. Mick and his team were brilliant at every step of the job which involved building, plumbing and electrical work. Dealing with Mick is a painless process and you can be assured that when Mick gives a time to start a job his team will be there. They worked efficiently and cleanly, all rubbish was removed and they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend Mick to anyone looking for building services.

From the very beginning Mick and his team have been a pleasure to deal with. They have carried out excellent work and we are very pleased with the overall finish. We hired Avenue building services to remove a partition wall and fill in an old back door. We were working on a very tight timeframe, and Mick was able to accomodate us at a very competitive cost, and got the job done on time, and with a minimum of hassle. At every step of the way the costs and process were fully explained and every appointment time was kept or rearranged with plenty of notice. The job was done very efficiently by Mick and his crew, who were a pleasure to deal with at all times. We will certainly be using Avenue building services for the next part of our job, and we would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I got Mick McAvinue from online tradesman . A bit apprehensive at first hiring Builder from this unknown source . I need not have worried having meet Mick to evaluate the job (House Renovation) and got competitive quote I knew he was the person to do job . Always kept me informed on the job progress and kept on top finances to eliminate any misunderstandings. Very pleased with work and would have no hesitation in recommending Mick to anybody contemplating similar work . Philip

Michael is like Ronseal- he does excatly what it says on the tin.Arrived at a time that suited me and was bang on time. I thought that this job would be too samll, but no, he was more than happy to do it, gave me a time and a date. Againn turned up bang on time. lovely to deal with. Will soooooo use Michael again and again. Great website. So glad I used it. Michael and his crew were brilliant from start to finish, even helping out with jobs not related to the build! The quote was very competitive and we didn't go over budget by the finish. Even though the weather was terrible at times the place was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. We now have a lovely 12x12 extension where the kids can bring their friends. We build 30m2 extension with McAvinue Constriction. They were very efficient and cost effective. Mick has great ideas and he will always look to save you time and money.
