To whom it may concern,
We hired Chris Croitor to build our house in March 2008. The project specification included the building of the house & garage, tarmac, kerbing, entrance wall, electric gates, cobble lock footpaths, driveway lights, interior & exterior painting as well as the levelling and seeding of the lawns.
Chris was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. His attention to detail was second to none, and he is a total perfectionist. The site was the tidiest site I have ever seen and neighbours on the road actually commented on this. His use of high quality materials during the build was evident in the finished article. In fact, visitors to our house who work in the building trade have all remarked on the excellent finish. Chris also made certain suggestions regarding the build which improved the appearance and energy efficiency of the house. While some of these suggestions did increase the costs slightly, I must stress that ALL suggestions were discussed with both of us and NOTHING was changed unless we had agreed to the changes. One example was changing all the windows in the house from double glazed Carey glass to triple glazed Carey glass, which cost only a small bit more but which has made a huge difference to the heat retention in the house.
Chris was responsible for all aspects regarding the building of our house, which meant we did not have to spend time locating and assessing various tradesmen. This was extremely important for us, as we both work full time and would not have had time to be chasing up various tradesmen.
While we did state on our tender letter that we would source our kitchen, sanitary ware, doors, stairs, tiles etc, we did want the cost of installing/fixing of these items to be included in the quotation price. Chris had no problem with this. However, were we to begin this project again knowing what we now know about Chris Croitor, we would have left him to source everything from the beginning.
