Constantin started my hallway floor and porch late Sept. The tiles match the previous tiled dining/kitchen some 10yrs earlier by a different tiler.
The hallway walls are not square from one end to the other as pointed out before commencement.
The tiled centre line did not square off the bathroom tiles nor the kitchen tiles, consequently the tile widths either side of the middle tiles were not parallel to the walls, resulting in varied widths from one side approx 80mm the other side 200mm and non matching of the existing tile runs.
The job also included tiling the front door porch landing and steps but unforntunately there was a shortage of tiles to complete the job.
Additional tiles were purchased the following day and as an addition to the original job, more tiles for the ramp as an extended job.
Constantin said he would complete the job but after many appointment dates were not fulfilled, I engaged a new tiler to complete the job.
Another issue was Constantin removed my front door off the hinges to make it easier?? to tile up to the threshold.
He had a lot of trouble reinstalling the heavy door even with my disability I tried to help him. The following day after opening the door, I noticed 3 of the 4 hinges had only 1 of 2 screws put back as he had damaged the screw heads and the door after usig an angle grinder to cut a damaged screw, he hid this from me.
As a son of a builder and family of tilers (overseas) I am very disappointed with end result and the no shows without LETTING ME KNOW HE WAS NOT COMING!
