In March 2017, my gas boiler broke down, I got 2 other plumbers to check it, both wasted my money and time on different parts yet boiler kept breaking down. So I went online here and rang Graham on a Friday afternoon and explained him the problem. He very decently agreed to come out the next day which was a Saturday of the rugby match-after I asked him to.
In comparison to the other two jokers, Graham is a very professional, decent, plain speaker, no nonsense man-I was dealt with others in business who could do with taking note of the way business should be conducted by following Graham's example.
Graham arrived at the time he said he'd come at, immediately set about inspecting every part of the boiler without any fanfare. He then identified the faulty part and as he had a spare one with him, fitted it on the spot. Once he finished, the boiler turned on and worked perfectly. He then set about servicing the boiler, which I hadn't asked but it was necessary and he mentioned it was best practice as he wants to be sure I'm fully satisfied with his service, to be honest it was awhile since the boiler was serviced properly anyway! So as he was here and did fix the boiler properly I let him get on with it. He did all the necessary checks including the gas pressure/exhaust emissions levels etc as he had all the required equipment too-as what any proper gas registered plumber is required to have-yet he just got on with it without the usual showmanship that others make a song and dance over!
When he finished all the checks-he signed the gas service cert, handed me a copy, I paid him, he gave me a receipt on the spot, compared to lots of tradesmen today who claim they'll "post or email to me later", and away he went. It was such a relief to deal with a professional as Graham and I have no hesitation in giving him this ref and I am getting him to do other jobs in my house in the coming weeks too.
