Since then he has guided me skillfully through the initial concept, planning and development processes to the point where my project is now completed. I am delighted with the outcome, as are my family and friends, who are amazed at the wonderful result we have achieved. Philip’s professional competence is beyond doubt and this can be seen in the final design of my home where he has used his expertise to maximise the full potential of the space available. Reference: Philip McNeil Architect I engaged Mr Philip McNeil to design a mixed used building on a narrow site on a main route in the North Inter Dublin City in May 2003. I engaged Philip as his work had come to my attention while working on a previous project in Co Clare. The contemporary style of his work was what I had envisaged along with the attention to detail. These were important factors to me in selecting an architect. The brief was for a contemporary mixed use design with retail on the ground floor and residential on the upper floors. All residential units were to be large and to be in excess of the minimum standard size for a one bedroom apartment. Philip worked on the design and planning for over three months, the planning authority was involved in the process. The concept remained the same but the outer envelope was resigned a number of time to suit the request of the planning authority. Given the site size, the result exceeded my expectations, a beautiful modern and contemporary mixed use building. Philip was great to work with. He guided the process through the design to the planning application and all in between. I would have no hesitation in recommending Philip on any project. He brings a total dedication to any project. Philip designed and managed a small residential development for our company. During that time, I found Philip to be helpful and responsive to all our needs. I found his knowledge and work to be excellent, especially in the areas of conservation and optimization of space planning resulting in a pleasing aesthetic in which no space is wasted. I believe that it was Philip's well thought out designs which allowed us to successfully sell the development in the downturn. I would have no hesitation in using Philip in future projects or in recommending him to others.

Philip McNeill worked with us for a number of years before going to the School of Architecture and we were pleased to have him rejoin us after graduation. During 1985 he worked here as job architect on a stud farm complex with a large residence. He was involved from feasibility stage through to detailed design and preparation of production information. We have no hesitation therefore in recommending Philip to a prospective employer and wish him luck in his future career. I have known Philip McNeill Architect for 21 year since he first advised our company on the future expansion of office premises in Eustace Street and the design of a new city centre residential over retail premises in Dublin City. Mr McNeill when called on by us always gave a professional, quick and competent architectural service. Accordingly, we have no hesitation in recommending him to prospective customers

Mr McNeill has a consultants contract with the National Building Agency Ltd, since June 1996, to provide Design Contract Administration and Site Inspection services on a 39 house refurbishment project. He has on a previous contract obtained planning permission, designed and prepared architectural documents to tender stage for special persons housing and a community centre for a client for use by the Western Health Board.
