I gave Derek a 5 star rating simply because his work ethic and attention to detail was fantastic he turned a messy awkward and sloped site into a finished beautiful garden by taking out the hassle of cutting the grass on the slope and instead adding a maintenance free slope with shrubs for every season topped off with decorative stone and a loose stacked stone wall along the edge looks amazing. Front and back gardens were laid to perfection bordered with laurel hedging and he even managed to disguise the septic bio cycle by surrounding it again with decorative stone and shrubs,we've even booked Derek for next year to come back and lay our patio area. I can't recommend Derek highly enough for his work, advice and cost cutting solutions not to mention his easy going personality

Derek and Michael recently finished the below jobs for us in Wexford. 1. Relaying cobbled driveway 2. Laying an Indian sandstone patio with limestone wall and granite caps 3. Clad entrance walls with limestone and capped with Granite 4. Laid new gravel driveway and constructed a new plant bedding area. Both Derek and Michael are extremely fussy about the quality of their workmanship,they would constantly go back and check a job until they were happy with the results. They are both very artistic and offer unique solutions which give the customer one off garden designs. I would have no problem recommending Derek and Michael to anybody requiring a job completed with precision and dedication. I look forward to seeing them again and enjoying a coffee with them on the new patio!

I recently got Derek to lay a sandstone paving area and large chipping area in my back garden. Derek came to look at the area after just a couple of days. He gave great suggestions and showed me the flaws in my own design. he organised all from materials to minidigger to chippings and paving and proceeded with the job very neatly within a couple of weeks. There was no issues and i would highly recommend him. i have got loads of compliments on the design and hope to get him back next year to landscape my front garden.

Derek did a great job in transforming my back garden and I would have no hesitation in recommending him in the future. He was very professional throughout and extremely dedicated to his work. There was never any hidden costs and he consulted me at every step along the way before proceeding. He cleaned up every evening before he left and was always mindful to keep the place tidy. He uses his vast experience to advise you throughout the project and I would definitely use him again if required.

Work consisted of Post and Rail fencing, Gates, Hedging and Trellis. From the initial meeting to the day he finished up Derek was always extremely helpful and conscientious. Dereks attention to detail was second to none and he really cares about the work he is doing. We are delighted with the job he did and would recommend him to anyone for any job big or small. We will certainly be getting him back to do some more work!

We hired Down to Earth to transform our poorly drained rear garden into a practical and pretty space for us and our little one to enjoy all year round. Derek offered great advice and options on how to achieve the right balance between paving, grass, walls etc. We found him to be very professional, honest, hardworking and reliable and are very happy with the work done.

Derek did a great job on your back yard, creating it into a lovely area to relax in over the summer months. He had great practical advice forgetting our design ideas made and committed 100% to the job. We were completely satisfied with Derek and his small team and reckon that having spent €3750 completing the job, our house is now at least 10k better off. 5 stars from us.

Down to Earth were very helpful in designing what we wanted, they did what we wanted to a top class finish, and couldn't a better job. Delighted with the work done. The job pricing was reasonable, and the work top class. Communication is great and nothing is done without thorough consultation,and when working, wouldn't know they were around the place. Have organized for more work to be done in the winter, tree planting. Highly recommend and look forward to dealing with Down to Earth again.

We are delighted with Derek's work. He is extremely professional and helpful. He met with us and listened to what we wanted. Derek brought some of his own ideas to our project and the result is perfect, reasonably priced, completed to a high standard and on time. Highly recommended!!

I have found Mr.Darcy to be hardworking, honest and reliable. He also is very good at making things look nice. He wouldn't leave a job looking sloppy and unfinished like some other people would. He is a very persistant worker. He doesn't seem to like stretching a job out over an extreeeeeemly long period of time like some other people are in the annoying habit of doing. He even works on Sundays... I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants the job done PROPERLY.

I highly recommend Derek Darcy and Down to Earth. He is very professional and brings fantastic ideas to the table. He is honest, trustworthy and reliable - a rare find sometimes. The quality of work is second to none and ran within schedule. There was no hidden costs, no aftermath of work to be done. The garden was left perfect. The work was stress free to me and Derek definitely went above and beyond the call of duty.
